Job Description of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

• Must be able to assist with developing and carrying out treatment plans
• Must be able to guide patients through therapeutic exercises
• Must be able to document patient progress accurately
• Must be able to educate patients and families on home care and exercises
• Must be able to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Must maintain a safe environment during therapy sessions
• Must be comfortable working with a variety of patients (geriatrics, Adult, etc.)

Requirements:

• Current PTA certification in Texas
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited PTA program
• Prior clinical or outpatient experience preferred
• Knowledge of physical therapy practices and medical terminology
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be flexible, reliable, and able to work PRN hours
• Kinnser/WellSky EMR Experience is a plus
• Home Health Experience is a plus
